About Us

Essential Knits Yarn Boutique is a yarn shop for simple and sylish knitting, fashion ideas, and new novelty yarns.

I'm Kimberly Clark, founder and owner of Essential Knits. I started my yarn shop in New Hampshire in the Spring of 2008. Over the last 4 years I have gained extensive knowledge in the yarn industry, as well as having the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people whose loyalty and support kept the store progressing in new and wonderful directions.   

In the Fall of 2011, I moved to Boulder, Colorado with my new husband. 

This is when I decided to transition Essential Knits Yarns into an online shop, where I could still offer my tips, project ideas and new yarns to a much wider audience!

Many of our patterns are available for free on our blog.  Essential Knits Yarn Boutique blog has lots of knitting tips, knitting patterns, crochet patterns, and yarn specials.
